1. Who We Are
Wazenta ("we", "our", "us") is a Shopify App published on the Shopify App Store. For questions regarding this policy, contact us at [email protected].
2. What Data We Collect
When a merchant installs Wazenta, we collect and store the following:
- Merchant shop domain (e.g. wazenta.myshopify.com) — used to identify your store and serve your widget configuration.
- WhatsApp phone number(s) configured by the merchant — stored so the widget can connect customers to the correct agent.
- Widget configuration settings — colors, sizes, messages, tooltip text, and feature toggles saved by the merchant in the app admin.
- Agent names and roles — names and WhatsApp numbers added by the merchant for the multi-agent routing feature.
- Click analytics logs — anonymized records of when a storefront visitor clicks a WhatsApp button. Logs contain: timestamp, button type (floating / PDP), product URL, and agent name. No customer identifiers (email, IP address, name) are stored.
3. What Data We Do NOT Collect
Wazenta does not collect, store, or process:
- Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or personal identifiers
- Payment or billing information
- Browser cookies from storefront visitors
- IP addresses of store visitors
- Any data from Shopify's Customer API
4. How We Use Data
- Widget rendering: Your phone number, settings, and agent list are read by the theme extension blocks to display the WhatsApp widget on your storefront.
- Analytics dashboard: Click logs are aggregated and displayed in your Wazenta admin dashboard to help you understand widget engagement.
- Plan enforcement: Your active subscription plan is checked via Shopify's Billing API to determine which features are available.
5. Data Storage and Security
All merchant data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway.app with TLS encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
When you uninstall Wazenta from your Shopify store, your data is handled in compliance with Shopify's GDPR requirements:
- Immediately on uninstall: Your Shopify session tokens are deleted and your widget is disabled on the storefront.
- 48 hours after uninstall: All remaining merchant data (widget settings, agents, click logs) is permanently deleted from our database via Shopify's
shop/redactGDPR webhook.
7. GDPR Compliance
Wazenta implements all three mandatory Shopify GDPR webhooks: customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact.
